Cookie Policy

Last Updated: January 2025

Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how UroSure (operated by Envoice Media LLC) uses cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies on urosure.com. This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What Are Cookies and Pixels?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They help websites remember your actions and preferences over time, improve functionality, and provide analytics and advertising services.

Pixels (also called web beacons, tracking pixels, or tags) are tiny, invisible images or code snippets embedded in web pages or emails. They allow third parties to track activity, measure performance, and collect information about your device and browsing behavior across websites.

How We Use Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Important: Some cookies and tracking technologies load automatically when you visit our website, including marketing and analytics technologies. This is common practice for US-based websites and allows us to operate the site, measure traffic, and deliver relevant advertising to potential customers.

1. Essential Cookies

Purpose: These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function properly. They enable core functionality such as security, network management, shopping cart, and secure checkout. These cookies cannot be disabled in our systems.

Examples:

  • Session cookies for shopping cart functionality
  • Authentication cookies for secure checkout and payment processing
  • Security cookies to prevent fraudulent activity
  • Cookie preference storage (localStorage)

Legal Basis: These cookies are necessary for the performance of our contract with you (providing ecommerce services and fulfilling orders).

2. Analytics Cookies

Purpose: These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information about traffic patterns, page views, and user behavior.

Third-Party Services We Currently Use:

Service Purpose Loads Automatically?
Google Analytics (GA4) Track website traffic, measure user engagement, understand visitor demographics and behavior, optimize website performance Yes

Third-Party Privacy Policies:

Note: Analytics cookies load automatically when you visit our site unless blocked by your browser settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on .

3. Advertising and Marketing Pixels

Purpose: These technologies are used to deliver relevant advertisements, measure ad performance, optimize campaigns, and build audiences for targeted advertising on social media and other platforms.

Third-Party Services We Currently Use:

Service Purpose Loads Automatically?
Meta/Facebook Pixel Conversion tracking, retargeting, custom audience building for Facebook and Instagram advertising Yes

Third-Party Privacy Policies:

State Privacy Laws: Under certain US state privacy laws (such as California's CCPA/CPRA, Colorado CPA, Connecticut CTDPA, Virginia VCDPA, and similar laws), the use of advertising pixels and cross-site tracking may be considered a "sale" or "share" of personal information, or "targeted advertising."

Information Collected by Cookies and Pixels

Cookies and tracking technologies may automatically collect the following types of information when you visit our website:

  • Identifiers: IP address, cookie IDs, device identifiers, mobile advertising IDs (IDFA/AAID)
  • Device Information: Browser type and version, operating system, device type (mobile/desktop/tablet), screen resolution, language settings
  • Browsing Activity: Pages viewed, links clicked, referral source (where you came from), time spent on site, navigation path through the site
  • Geolocation Data: Approximate location based on IP address (city and state level only, not precise GPS location)
  • Inferences: Preferences, interests, and characteristics inferred from your browsing behavior to deliver more relevant content and advertising

How to Control Cookies and Tracking

You have several options to control cookies and tracking technologies. Please note that blocking or deleting certain cookies may affect website functionality, including your ability to add items to your cart and complete purchases.

1. Browser Cookie Settings

Most web browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings preferences. You can:

  • Block all cookies (may affect site functionality)
  • Block third-party cookies only (recommended - this stops most advertising tracking while preserving site functionality)
  • Delete cookies after each browsing session
  • Clear all cookies manually at any time
  • Receive notifications when cookies are being set

Browser-Specific Instructions:

2. Global Privacy Control (GPC)

Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a browser setting or extension that sends a signal to websites indicating your preference to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We respect GPC signals where legally required under state privacy laws.

How to Enable GPC:

  • Use a browser that has GPC built in, such as Brave, DuckDuckGo, or Firefox with the Privacy Badger extension
  • Install a browser extension that sends GPC signals (available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and other browsers)
  • Visit GlobalPrivacyControl.org for more information and setup instructions

Note: GPC is recognized by some US state privacy laws as a valid opt-out mechanism. When we receive a GPC signal from your browser, we will respect it as an opt-out of sale/sharing where legally required.

3. Third-Party Advertising Opt-Out Tools

You can opt out of targeted advertising from participating companies through industry self-regulatory opt-out tools:

  • Meta/Facebook Ads: Manage your ad preferences and opt out of targeted advertising at Facebook Ad Preferences
  • Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA): Opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies at AboutAds.info Opt-Out
  • Network Advertising Initiative (NAI): Opt out of targeted advertising from NAI member companies at NAI Opt-Out Tool

Important Note: These opt-outs are cookie-based, which means if you clear your cookies or use a different browser/device, you will need to opt out again.

4. Mobile Device Settings

Mobile operating systems offer settings to limit ad tracking through mobile apps and mobile websites:

  • iOS (iPhone/iPad): Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track." You can also go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → Disable "Personalized Ads."
  • Android: Go to Settings → Google → Ads → Enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization." You can also reset your advertising ID in the same menu.

US State Privacy Rights and Thresholds

Several US states have enacted privacy laws that provide residents with rights related to the "sale" or "share" of personal information and targeted advertising. These laws include the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA), Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA), Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), and similar laws in other states.

Applicability Thresholds

Most US state privacy laws include applicability thresholds based on business size and volume of personal information processed. Common thresholds include:

  • Processing personal information of 100,000 or more state residents per year, OR
  • Annual gross revenues of $25 million or more, OR
  • Processing personal information of 25,000 or more state residents AND deriving revenue from sale of personal information

Current Status

At this time, UroSure may not meet the thresholds that trigger certain opt-out obligations under state privacy laws. However, you can still control tracking and advertising through the browser settings, Global Privacy Control, and third-party opt-out mechanisms described above.

Future Opt-Out Mechanism

If and when UroSure meets state privacy law thresholds (such as processing personal information of 100,000 or more residents of a state per year, or meeting revenue thresholds of $25 million or more annually), we will:

  • Add a prominent "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" or "Your Privacy Choices" link on our website footer and/or homepage
  • Provide an easy-to-use opt-out mechanism that allows you to opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information and targeted advertising without requiring account creation
  • Honor opt-out requests within the timeframes required by applicable law
  • Continue to respect Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a universal opt-out mechanism

We will monitor our business growth and update this Cookie Policy and our Privacy Policy accordingly when we approach or meet these thresholds.

Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, new technologies we adopt, changes to third-party services we use, or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically.
